Promotion of Top 22 Tourist Locations and Events in Banat

In January 2008, the team of the Euroregional Center for Democracy designed the logo of the project Banat 22 - Promotion of Top 22 Tourist Locations and Events in Banat. This is represented by Lala, a very popular character from Serbian Banat, who has become both representative and recognizable for the entire cross-border region, due to his suitcases bearing the colors of the two countries involved in the project (Romania and Serbia) and to the Cross Border syntagma that has been added to his original name.

The logo will be imprinted on all the materials issued within the frame of the project and will also appear on the website designed on this occasion.

Moreover, not only will Cross Border Lala be a prominent graphic design item, but he will also become the protagonist of a distinct chapter within the website, a chapter called Chatting with Cross Border Lala. This will encompass a brief description of the mascot, a travel diary and also some of the jokes that have ranked Lala among the funniest characters in the region.

Project Banat 22 - Promotion of Top 22 Tourist Locations and Events in Banat is being implemented by the Euroregional Center for Democracy, in partnership with the Pancevo Municipality, Serbia, through the Neighborhood Programme Romania-Serbia, Phare CBC 2005. The initiative is carried out between the 8th of August 2007 and 8th of November 2008, and aims at ensuring a better exploitation of the tourism potential in Banat region.
