‘Good Governance in Public Universities’ Conference

The Euroregional Center for Democracy has the pleasure to invite you to the ‘Good Governance in Public Universities’ Conference that will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2007, 16:00, at Hotel Timișoara, Mărășești st. 1 - 3, room Viena.

The purpose of the conference is to present the results of a research carried out within Timișoara University Center that aimed at identifying types of decision-making mechanisms in the academic sector at the level of university and faculty boards, administrative departments and academic and student organisations.

The survey was realized by S.C Vivid Research SRL during May 22 – June 22, 2007.

The goal of the ‘Good Governance in Public Universities’ project is to create a coalition of universities, student and youth organisations and informal student initiative groups that will integrate the model of good governance based on principles of public accountability, transparency and decision efficiency in the four public universities from Timișoara University Center.

The initiative is part of the ‘Good Governance in Public Universities’ project, implemented with the financial support of CEE Trust, Trust for Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
