Objectives Identification and analysis of the existing mechanisms ensuring the right to vote for the visually impaired persons Drawing up a model for including the visually impaired persons in the election process through direct and secret ballot Promoting the model through information campaigns concerning the opportunities to include the visually impaired persons in the decisional processes

Activities Carrying out a diagnostic analysis concerning the introduction of Braille ballot for the visually impaired persons Workshops for informing and consulting the target groups as well as for building awareness in Romania and the Republic of Moldova Drawing up the Electronic Register for the Visually Impaired Voters in the Republic of Moldova Information and promotion campaign concerning the model for including the visually impaired persons in the decision-making processes from the Republic of Moldova and Romania (electronic newsletter, blog: http://provotnevazatori.wordpress.com/, documentary, radio talk shows etc.) The final conference for disseminating the good practice examples identified within the frame of the project
The project is implemented between 1 June 2010 – 31 March 2011, with the financial support of UNDP Moldova and the Government of Romania.
