Regional Youth Grants Fund - Allavida
Application deadline: May 1 2003
This grants fund was launched in November 2002, and covers the following territories: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia.

This is a programme concerned with long-term development issues - creating and enhancing capacities for young people to play greater roles as active citizens. We do not provide huge financial resources or seek to create structures that cannot be sustained, but instead are working to enable participants to secure local constituencies of support, public and private, at a realistic level.

Growing Your Organization: A Workshop on Financial Sustainability for NGOs
April 5-9, 2003, Borovets, Bulgaria
Application deadline: March 21, 2003
Are you searching for ways to build the long-term financial sustainability of your organization?
If you are like many NGO leaders, you may face the ongoing challenge of how to diversify and develop new sources of support so your organization can provide needed programs and services. While skillful fundraising is essential, financial sustainability requires much more. Indeed, the most successful NGOs are able to put together all the pieces of the sustainability "puzzle": a clear, compelling mission and vision, strategies to diversify income sources, an understanding of where the challenges and opportunities are in the organization's environment, and ways to build a collaborative culture where sustainability becomes everyone's job in the organization. Most importantly, NGOs successful in financial sustainability understand they have valuable "assets" of interest to donors and work to develop mutually satisfying relationships with their supporters.
To help you learn more about the elements of NGO financial sustainability, Balkan Children and Youth Foundation (BCYF) is pleased to offer Growing Your Organization: A Workshop on Financial Sustainability for NGOs targeting those working in youth development. The workshop provides both a comprehensive overview of key concepts along with practical skills you can use to help your NGO grow and prosper. Throughout the three-day program, significant time is devoted to discussion and action planning to apply the content to your organization and identify next steps. The program is kindly supported by USAID and SIDA.
Enrollment is limited to provide the best learning experience possible for participants, so register early to guarantee your place!
