The Regional Project Grants Program supports cross-border, multi-country projects conducted by NGOs in CEE and NIS that promote democratization and economic development.
   
ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for an NGO Regional Project Grant, the applicant must be a legally registered NGO in: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia or Yugoslavia (Serbia-Montenegro).
    
Generally, project budgets should not exceed $25,000 per organization per year, depending on the scope of the activity proposed.

Freedom House Regional Exchange Program

Freedom House invites applications from managers and staff of NGOs in Central and Eastern Europe to participate in the Regional Exchange Program. As an internship opportunity to acquire new skills from a more established host organization or as a consultation to support collaboration and the development of joint regional projects, the Regional Exchange Program is one of the Regional Networking Projects most flexible programs.
   
ELIGIBILITY
Citizens from the following countries may apply: Albania, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Poland,Romania, Serbia-Montenegro and Slovakia. Preference will be given to full-time staff members. Eligible expenses, usually financed by this program, include transport, accommodation, per-diem and miscellaneous expenses.

infoDev Conference Scholarship Fund

The infoDev Conference Scholarship Fund (iCSF) is now accepting applications for conferences taking place during the period November 2001-June 2002.
    
The infoDev makes block grants to organizers of conferences that foster the utilization of Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) for the economic and social development. The purpose of the grant is to sponsor the conference participation of ICT professionals from developing countries.

Conferences
The infoDev will support participants from developing countries to a broad range of conferences, seminars, or workshops addressing ICT topics relevant to development. Conference subjects may include the internet, infrastructure, telecommunications, policy and regulations, or applications of ICT to areas such as education, health, governance, the environment and e-commerce.
   
Funding Level
The maximum amount of scholarship funding to a single conference is $50,000.
The average funding for a single conference is US$20,000-25,000.

UNDP INNOVATIVE PARTNERSHIPS GRANT

The Innovative Partnership Grant (IPG) offers an opportunity to National and Local Governments, CBOs, Municipal Associations, Chambers of Commerce, NGOs etc. to propose innovative projects related to public-private partnership development at the local level.
Proposals can target one or more of the following areas:
- Establishing adequate policy, legal and institutional frameworks for public-private partnerships at the local level;
- Building local capacity for public-private partnerships;
- Designing and implementing innovative partnership arrangements.
   
All UNDP Program Countries are eligible for the PPPUE/IPG support.

The first deadline for proposals is November 30, 2001.
All projects must be submitted through the local UNDP Country Office.

Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade Local Funds Program

The Local Funds Program (LFP) is a program from the Netherlands Embassy in Belgrade to support projects by organizations in the FRY.
Main areas for the LFP are:
  • Institution building, civil society
  • Peace building
  • Human rights
  • Good governance
  • Democratization, freedom of statement
The available funds are meant for projects that consist of clear and well defined activities; they cannot be used to support the running costs of an organization. The maximum amount of money available for one project is in principle EURO 50.000 (DEM 97.792).
Please be aware that smaller projects may have a relatively high impact and are more easily supported. Normally, the donation/grant is paid in two installments: 80% of the
granted amount after approval of the budget, 20% after receipt and approval of the evaluation and financial report.
